Grief Matters for Children: how YOU can get involved in the campaign

CBN's Grief Matters for Children campaign calls for support to be available to all bereaved children, young people and their families, wherever they live and however they've been bereaved.

Edward Davey, MP for Kingston and Surbiton, has tabled an Early Day Motion (EDM) 'Improving Childhood Bereavement Services' asking for five simple measures to improve services for bereaved children and young people. Our briefing gives more information on these five measures.

A further twelve MPs from across the main parties have signed the EDM, and now we really need your help to mae sure as many MPs as possible get to hear about the campaign and have the chance to lend their support. Here are a few suggestions about how you can support the campaign. Do contact us for more ideas. Good luck!

1. Send an email to your MP

Generate an email to your MP, asking them to show their support for the Grief Matters for Children campaign by signing up to the Early Day Motion.

2. Collect signatures and ask your MP to submit a petition to Parliament

Print off our petition and gather campaign supporters. Your MP can then present the petition in Parliament.

3. Arrange a meeting with your MP

As a constituent, you can arrange to meet your MP to talk about the importance of childhood bereavement services in your area. Please contact us if you would like more information in preparation for a meeting.

4. Encourage friends, family and colleagues to get involved
