CBN publishes report on bereavement support for children in public care

A new report from CBN explores the impact of bereavement on looked after children's lives, against the backdrop of other losses they may have faced. It looks at how the impact of their own prior experiences, and that care system itself, can affect their experiences of bereavement and their accessing of support.

 

It reports on exploratory consultations and pilot work with children, young people, their carers and the teams around them, and makes recommendations for further work.
