CHUMS CONFERENCE

Day 1 - Talking about tough stuff - communicating with children and families about grief and loss.  Day 2 - Shattered dreams - caring for children and adolescents.  The following workshops will be available on both days: Compassion fatigue and staff support, demystifying anxiety, traumatic bereavement, supporting children and young people with learning difficulties

CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE - LOSS, DEATH AND GRIEF

A one day workshop that aims to provide a depth of understanding of the needs of bereaved children and young people and the skills and resources required to provide appropriate care
Target audience: For professionals who come into contact with bereaved children and young people in the course of their work, whether in the statutory or voluntary sector

WORKING WITH BEREAVED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

A university accredited, comprehensive modular course consisting of 5 themed weekends over a seven month period.  Level 6 60 credits.  The aim of this course is to enable participants to develop a range of techniques to assist them in working effectively with bereaved children and young people according to each child and young person's individual needs.  Target audience: open to anyone who works with, or wishes to deepen their understanding of the needs of bereaved children.
