20-22 April 2012 15-17 June 2012 13-15 July 2012 7-9 September 2012 9-11 November 2012 Working with Bereaved Children and Young People - University accredited modular course A selective comprehensive modular course consisting of 5 three-day units, over a 6 month period. Undergraduate short course certificate accredited by Bucks New University. Level 6, 60 credits. Aim: To enable trainees to develop a range of techniques to work effectively with bereaved children and young people according to each child or young person's individual needs. This course will not aim to equip trainees to counsel children/young people but rather to support them in the context of their family and their individual/personal experience of bereavement. The Child Bereavement Charity are offering a limited number of places at a 50% Bursary. Apply to the training department for a Bursary Application Form if you are interested.
24-25 April 2012 Facilitating GroupsA TWO DAY course which aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the facilitation process and skills needed to facilitate groups and to provide constructive feedback. The course is highly experiential, with the second day focusing on the particular dynamics of dealing with grief and bereavement and the loss of a baby/child.
